Insulating Oil Testing and Analysis
Oil
in a transformer serves as an effective
insulator, a coolant, and also a protector
for the solid insulator. However, these
intended functions would be adversely
affected once the oil quality deteriorates
due to contamination. Analyzing the oil
parameters enable us to diagnose the internal
condition, winding condition, as well
as the insulating oil condition. A comparison
may be made to a human blood test, which
can diagnose a person's health. Same goes
to oil analysis, which will indicate the
condition of a transformer, thereby enabling
us to take proactive action before any
mishap occurs.
At

the condition inside the transformer.
